We recognize that urgent medical issues can arise outside of our regular office hours.
How do I know if the issue is urgent?
Examples of urgent medical concerns can include a new injury, chest pain, difficulty breathing, new abdominal pain, urinary tract infections, a sick child OR more that 48 hours of fever/vomiting/ diarrhea in adults.
Non-urgent concerns, such as follow-ups, prescription renewals, form completion and reviewing test results should be booked during regular clinic times with your primary family physician.
Urgent Care Clinics
Each TW FHT site offers Urgent Care Clinics. Click on Hours of Operation for the hours and services offered at your site.
Bathurst Site:
Fridays 5 to 8 pm: Call to book. If you walk in, we unfortunately cannot guarantee that you will be seen. Last registration is 60 minutes before clinic closing (7pm).
Saturdays 9 am to 3 pm: Walk-in. We recommend that you arrive between 10 am and 2 pm. You will be seen in order of arrival. Last registration is 60 minutes before the clinic closing (2pm). Unfortunately, if you arrive after that time we cannot guarantee you will be seen.
Garrison Creek Site:
Saturdays 9 am to 3 pm: Walk-in. We recommend that you arrive between 10 am and 2 pm. You will be seen in order of arrival. Last registration is 60 minutes before the clinic closing (2pm). Unfortunately, if you arrive after that time we cannot guarantee you will be seen.
Telephone Health Advisory Service
While our physicians do reserve same-day appointments for urgent medical needs, you may not know if your issue can wait until the clinic opens. The Telephone Health Advisory Service (THAS) offers TW FHT patients after-hours telephone health advice. THAS is available outside regular clinic hours at 1-866-553-7205.
